Review: DON'T BUY UNICARE!
Oh where do I begin? Let's see... Didn't cover office visits that they were supposed to cover. The office sent them the claim 4 times over 10 months and they kept saying they never got it. It took me 10 months to get them to finally pay it, only after I drove around to 3 different doctors, paid for my own medical records, and faxed it to them myself 3 times! On one phone call I literally sat on hold for an entire HOUR before I got someone. Our premium has gotten higher and higher every year. Last month I got notice that it's going up FIFTY DOLLARS a month! Don't bother paying attention to the deductible! We've met ours at least 4 times this year. Each time we get the explanation of benefits, it says the amount billed by the doctor is in excess of what they allow. As if all of that isn't bad enough, they actually charge us $20 a year to send us the bill through the mail! STAY AWAY FROM UNICARE!

I have health isurance through unicare -went to a "in"network er but the doc was not in network. Did my part as to call on way to er to makesure that that hospital was in network and still got stuck with a huge bill. 8 months later took my child to the er and all was fine. paid at 100% now I get the run around from unicare associated as to Y they paid one bill and not the other at 100%. STAY AWAY FROM UNICARE!!!!!!!they will suck you dry. I even quoted directly from the manual they sent to us when we signed up and they told me that they have never read that in the manuals. I asked her for her fax number so I can fax her a copy. She told me that was not needed and then hung up on me.
