| Review: | Awful PreNatal Coverage I have had a terrible time working with Atlantis for PreNatal and Maternity care. When I first told the woman at my doctor's office that Atlantis was my carrier, she commented on how difficult she found them. Since I was just meeting her, I assumed she was the one with the attitude. How wrong I was! The woman turns out to be a saint, but even a saint would struggle dealing with Atlantis! With their overbearing pre-authorization requirements, slow response, absurd cancellation policies, rude and uninformed customer service reps, inaccessible information, limited network of providers, labs and hospitals, Atlantis is a nightmare for both their members and their providers. After being repeatedly denied claims on basic PreNatal tests including a SONOGRAM, I am leaving Atlantis to both my and my caregivers' relief. You and your baby are worth the slightly higher rates of the other insurance plans. |
