Review: Solid coverage, large provider network.
Our family has coverage provided in part by my employer. We are contracted with the Anthem Colorado PPO plan.

Unfortunately, this year we have had nearly $50,000 in medical bills and have had to use our health insurance much more than usual. Anthem has paid 99% of the provider claims (there are about 40 total) without any problems whatsoever. The only problem we have had is a billing issue with the provider, who we won't use again.

The coverage with Anthem is fantastic, especially with the Bluecard network, which allows us to use all BCBS providers across the country at in-network rates. This has come to be very helpful when traveling across the country to see specialists.

While the plan we have is expensive (about $10,000 a year for family coverage), the quality of service provided by Anthem has been excellent.
